Hoda Kotb Is Leaving NBC’s Today Show

Veteran NBC Today Show Anchor Hoda Kotb announced on 09/26/24 that she will be stepping aside from the show sometime in early 2025. In a highly emotional announcement, Kotb, who was surrounded by her Today Show colleagues, said her recent 60th birthday celebration was a moment of reflection for her, adding that after careful consideration, she has decided to spend more time with her children. She however clarified that even though she will be stepping aside from the Today Show, she would still remain in the NBC family doing other assignments.

It is well known that the Today Show couch is one of the crown jewels of morning television in the U.S. and possibly the world. Naturally, there’s a lot of speculation as to who the NBC Head Honchos will pick to take Hoda’s spot alongside Savannah Guthrie.

Today Show features highly on the Hot News Channel so naturally, we have a vested interest in who gets to replace Hoda. Will it be Laura Jarrett(most likely), Dylan Dreyer, Sheinelle Jones…??

My guess is Laura Jarrett, who in my opinion, has been prepping for the role for some time now, with her weekend anchor spot.

Who do you think Hoda’s replacement should be? Please let us know in the comments
